INK Drift is a motion game: you steer by gently moving your phone. This policy explains the little data the game uses. The controller is TJ NOVA LTD (company 17308318, England and Wales). Questions: info@tjnovaltd.com.

On your phone only

Your language and accessibility settings, control sensitivity, your best time, a random player ID and your player tag (for example ink-3ca3, made from the last four characters of that ID) are saved on your phone. Motion-sensor readings are used on the phone to steer and are never sent or stored anywhere else.

Ranked runs

A ranked run needs motion control and a connection. When it starts, the game sends the random player ID and the player tag. Every 10 seconds it sends a checkpoint with the elapsed time, distance, score and how many motion readings were taken (a count, not the readings). At the end it sends the survival time, distance, score, top speed and how the run ended. Our server stores these with timestamps to check that runs are genuine and to show the world leaderboard, which lists player tags, ranks and survival times. Practice runs stay on your phone.

What we do not collect

No account, name, email address, contacts, location, photos or advertising identifier. The game has no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and no purchases.

Where it is stored and who processes it

The leaderboard runs on Cloudflare (Workers and D1). Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the service; we do not store IP addresses in the leaderboard database. Nothing is sold or passed to advertisers, and authorities receive data only where the law compels it.

How long we keep it

Ranked runs stay on the leaderboard for the current course. To have yours taken down, email us your world rank or survival time and roughly when you played; that is enough for us to find the runs. Deleting the app removes everything saved on your phone, and a reinstall starts with a new random ID.

Your rights

Data protection law in the UK and the EU lets you see what we hold about you, have it deleted or object to how it is used. Ask at info@tjnovaltd.com and you will hear back within a month. Complaints can also go to the Information Commissioner in the UK (ico.org.uk) or to the regulator where you live.

Children

INK Drift is intended for players aged 13 and over.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
